Overview
Strip out of various types of Carousel Systems at several Mopar
Parts Distribution Centers throughout North America, including:
Tappan, New York; New Boston, Michigan; Carrollton, Texas; Memphis,
Tennessee; and operations in California and New Jersey.
Owner: Daimler Chrysler Corp
Details
These projects consisted of removing the Carousel Systems at several
separate Mopar Parts Distribution Centers throughout the country
working under contract to Commercial Contracting Corp. of Auburn
Hills, Michigan.
The systems varied in size but average a footprint of 7,500 square
feet. The majority of the project was completed utilizing a Caterpillar
320 Hydraulic Excavator equipped with a LaBounty UP-20 and various
skid steer loaders. Trim work was completed by North American Dismantling’s
highly trained work force.
Each project was completed in one weekend, without disruption to
the plant’s shipping schedule. After the carousels and conveyors
were removed, North American Dismantling was responsible for the
necessary cleaning of the floor area and the patching of all of
the holes created by the removal of anchor bolts.
